Pronto Networks to enable Wi-Fi network at Digital India Week to support 10,000 concurrent users during the inaugural event.

New Delhi, India 1 July 2015: Pronto Networks, a leading provider of wireless technologies and carrier-class operations support systems (OSS) for managing large scale Wi-Fi networks, announced today that its Unifi platform will be deployed at the internationally renowned Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium (IGS), New Delhi to provide WiFi connectivity to participants of Digital India event. IGS is the largest arena in India and the third largest in all of APAC, seating over 14,000 people during any given event. Pronto’s deployment marks the launch of the Digital India Program on 1st July 2015 that will take place at IGS and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Digital India event will welcome thousands of representative from over 400 corporate brands and set the stage for a number of key initiatives for the Indian government including, Digital Locker, E-education, E-health and rural broadband services.

Pronto in partnership with MTNL and CISCO setup a network at IGS for over 10,000 concurrent users with committed SLA to provide guaranteed access and best in class service. Pronto Networks OSS platform is a key infrastructure component for metro-scale, broadband wireless networks. Some of the critical back-office and service control functions performed by Pronto’s OSS include user registration, secure authentication, subscriber management, flexible billing, customer portal customization, and remote network management.
