Pronto Networks Selected by AlwaysOn as Top 100 Private Company Award Winner

Company Receives A0100 Award for Third Year in a Row for Continued Leadership in the Broadband Wireless Market

Pleasanton, CA – June 29, 2005Pronto Networks, a leading provider of carrier-class operations support systems (OSS) for managing large scale Wi-Fi networks, today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the Top 100 Private Company award winners. Pronto Networks was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial team based on a set of five criteria – innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.

The AO 100 was selected from over 1,000 companies, peer-nominated by leading venture capitalists, investment bankers and industry analysts. The AO 100 consists of private companies at all stages of development, from early to late stage.

Founded in 2001, Pronto Networks offers service providers a flexible, IMS-ready OSS for deploying and managing large-scale, broadband wireless networks and delivering next generation services, such as VoIP and multi-player games. Pronto’s highly-integrated services platform handles convergence of data, voice and video and provides seamless connectivity across multiple wireless and wireline access technologies, including Wi-Fi, WiMAX, cellular, DSL and cable. Pronto’s OSS platform is often used to support ‘mixed use’ networks and deliver new revenue-generating services in the municipal, hospitality and retail markets.

“The AO 100 companies are shaping today’s web-driven, connected environment,” said Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. “We were inundated with nominations from leading companies, many of which I hope will appear on our list next year. My congratulations to each AO 100 winner – these are the companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year.”

“The wireless landscape has changed considerably over the past several years, and as a result our core platform has evolved to address our customers’ latest challenges,” said Jasbir Singh, president and CEO of Pronto Networks. “Convergence of technologies and supporting new revenue-enhancing services are just two areas we’re focused on today. We are honored to be recognized by AlwaysOn for a third year in a row for our market leadership and innovation, and look forward to continuously developing creative solutions to solve our customers’ toughest problems in the future.”

The AO 100 will be honored at the AO2005: Innovation Summit at a VIP reception at 5.00pm on July 19, 2005 at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California.
